Moving forum from Sub directory to root.

Hi.  When we originally setup our forum, we decided it would be a great idea to create a subdirectory for it and then put a redirect in the root.  This now seems like it was a terrible idea and I need to change it to the root, but for some reason I copied everything over to the root and removed what I THOUGHT was the redirect except it still keeps redirecting and I dont know what all I need to copy over to make everything work.  Is this even possible or am I stuck with the subdirectory?  I really just want to get Cloudflare working on my forum, but it doesn't seem to be able to locate the A, AAAA, or the mx records.  It still created the nameservers but I don't know if it is going to tank my site when the new nameservers take effect.  Any advice on how to move my forum to the root?
