I have a SMF forum, that i just intergrated with coppermine...I'm also setting up another website, and another forum to go with it...here's my question can i intergrate the new smf forum i plan to install with the new site on the old forum? so the users are the same?

Here is what im going
xtf=xtechforum.com
xtf=xtechgamers.com

xtf(current)
SMF forum
coppermine
want to use a CMS sysetm soon and intergrate it, not sure which one

xtg
another SMF forum, want to be connect with all the rest of it all, and a possble CMS, but prabally not.

So would htere be a way to set up two forums with the same users?

tX

is there anyway to have two boards running with the same users???!??

tX

sort of...I use godaddy so they dont allow more then 1 domain on the same hosting plan, so i use two different hosting plans, but It's shared and prabally on the same server, and i know they can both connect to the same mysql database at least.

Orstio

If they can both use the same database, you can probably use Goosemoose's multi-forums mod.

tX

Is it in the mod section of the site??? I can't find it.

Goosemoose

The mod isn't public yet as it relies on the new bridge for mambo which will be out soon. You could get it to work but it will take some work with separate domains. You'll definately have to be on the same server and each domain will have to be able to access the same mysql database, and if the forum is installed on server A, server B will need access to the folder on A. That being said, here is what it looks like right now.

It has one uses one database, one smf folder, one everything :) = Five forums.
