Logged out in Joomla

I am not sure but i think the problem is actually when you get back to the site and you are already logged in

meaning that, if you choose "remember me forever" upon login, and you leave and you get back on the site after many hours, you will ONLY be logged in on SMF and not Joomla

Yes, that much I understood from your previous posts.  You Joomla session seems to be expiring according to your PHP settings.

I suspect it might have something to do with Windows.  As I said, the only other site I've seen do this was also a Windows server.

I've had this from time to time too on Linux (people who were logged in to Joomla would not be logged in to SMF and vice versa)


What I did was check if I was 1/2 logged in. (IE logged into Joomla but not SMF or logged in to SMF but not Joomla.) If that was the case, I'd call the SSI-logout function.

It seemed to work fine and I havent had any complaints, but my site banner DOES say "Complainers and whiners will be banned", so your mileage may vary!

Not sure what you did. Please try to explain.

My case is that people get logged out of Joomla. Unfortunately the changing PHP sessions settings did not help.

I am running out of ideas. I may just move to a linux box...
