How do I set a separate icon for each section? For version SMF 2.0.17 , Help,please)

What do you mean by "section"? Are you walking about the menu, or are you talking about the board index (home) page?

Does it work on version 2.0.17 and theme DEFAULT?

Yes. Although you may have to use version emulation to install it.
