Outside the scope of SMF but since folks here are sharp.. web page update date?

It's outside the scope of SMF modding, but folks here are sharp and I hoped someone might have seen this:

I know there are ways to check the update date of public pages.  Even then, depending on how the page was created, it might not be accurate.

The page I'm looking at is not public so the link probably won't work.

The page also has a little "6 mos ago, 199 views" on it which I assume is when it was updated and how many folks took a look at it since then.

In the inspector I found this, related to that "6 mos ago", and wondered if anyone had experience with this.

Under the "time title", does the date stamp in quotations imply it was text that was entered or perhaps system generated?

It doesn't really imply anything you're ascribing to it.

It's simply a timestamp in whatever system that is, somewhere, that is exported to the HTML so Angular could do something with it. It has to be in quotes because it has spaces and colons in it and you have to quote the value to put it in the HTML like that where Angular can do something with it.

It might be the creation date for something in that system, it might be the last update, but without looking at the actual system you'd have literally no way to know what that date actually means.

And that's before we talk about modifying the date in whatever database to give the appearance of last modified.

Yeah, worth a shot.

It's a private site.  I subscribed to the page using it's offered "subscribe" feature.

I guess the next time (if it ever does) there is an update I'll get a ping and can look at that stamp to see if it matches.

thanks though.
