Running SMF 2.1.2

I require all posts to be approved.  After I approve good posts, I would like to delete any remaining and also delete the posting account.  I can do this one user at a time, but I don't see any way to do multiples at once.  2.1 seems to require more clicks to delete a single user and posts than 2.0.

Thanks

I'm sorry, but what you said makes no sense...

He would like to delete all remaining unapproved posts and the OPs of those posts all in one swell foop instead of one OP at a time. Not sure why he would want to do it that way though. What if the member makes what @wssddc says is a 'bad post' but later or previously makes a good 'post/topic'?

I don't believe there's a way to do that but Kindred or Doug would know more than I.

Well, the biggest question is: What issue are you trying to solve with this?    Are you trying to deal with Spammers?  If so, then there are a dozen better ways of dealing with them -- all of which involve preventing them from creating and account and/or posting in the first place rather than trying to play clean-up afterwards.

I honestly can not think of a use-case in which the activity that you have requested is the appropriate response.

Yes, the problem is spammers that get through my admittedly minimal protections.  With 2.0, I found the Anti-Spam Links mod greatly reduced spam postings, but according to the download page for that mod, it doesn't yet support 2.1.

As far as recognizing spammers, the ones I see totally lack imagination in their post subjects.  The ones that don't post eventually get deleted as inactive.

I'm certainly not going to ask anyone to write a custom mod for this.

Thanks.

Kindred

You don't need a custom mod. You don't even need to do what you are thinking of.

What you need to do, is put in anti Spam protection. The best thing you can do is add 20 to 30 questions. Ask 2 to 3 at registration. With a pool of 20 to 30 questions the spammers won't register all of your questions that fast.  You will only have to change your question pool once every year or 2.

Seriously, with bad behavior and questions questions I have had a total of one or two spammers actually get through registration in registration in over 3 years,  And those that got through were definitely human spammers not bots
