Google index issues

Please help, my forum in not indexed by Google after I added google index code.

I got a reply from Google that there was a duplicate conical and requested a fix, please how do I remove the duplicate conical from my site.

I added google code to to add it to sitemaps and I installed Optimus mod to do the same thing. Could this be the reason for the duplicate.

Please help.

My site don't come up when I search for it on Google.

Do you understand what "Canonical" tags are?
If not, I'd suggest you read more about them. This might help: https://ahrefs.com/blog/canonical-tags/
TL;DR - it's a way to show google which page is your 'main page' about a given topic. It's important in SEO if you have a big site with many pages, Google gets confused about which page represents your main page for that topic, and that confusion means it doesn't know which to rank best on search results, so it ranks none of them, which isn't good!
With forums it's more tricky than with, say, a Wordpress site. But hopefully that explains what it means why you need to change it. As for how, in SMF I am afraid I can't advise as I am a beginner to SMF myself. Hopefully you know a bit more and can at least tackle the issue now. If not, sorry!

Smf generates the canonical tags....

If it's not generating them,  then you have a problem with your theme

Honestly, wouldn't worry about it. Indexing issues like this are mostly just notifications of things that you may be able to improve, but will not kill your visibility alone, because SMF does handle canonical tags (afaik) for everything important.
