Problems migrating to a new host?

I'm not sure if this is a question to be asking here?

I'm trying to migrate a forum from Bluehost to A2. I've moved my forum to a local pc before for testing and it went without a hitch so I'm not sure what I'm missing in trying to move it to A2.

When I get everything moved over and try to connect to the forum it just errors out with a "This page isn't working **** is currently unable to handle this request. HTTP ERROR 500" So not much to go on.

I am able to install a *new* forum on A2 using their software installer and it works just fine.

The steps used to move the forum were as follows.

export bluehost database using phpmyadmin
compress current forum in to a folder

create a new database on A2
import bluehost database in to A2 using phpadmin
copy forum to A2 and extract
run repair_settings

Everything seems to work fine but still wont allow me to connect. It *seems* (keep in mind that I'm ignorant on this stuff) to be an issue with the database but I would have expected some kind of error.

I made sure that the username and password for the database match so I don't think that's the issue?

on a side note, and i'm not sure that this is relevant as this is all worked out with repair_settings(?), but I am using a different domain name during this initial setup for testing purposes.

Any help would be appreciated.

Ok, I managed to make some progress.  I think that I still had a couple of the paths that needed fixed. I also disabled/uninstalled tinyportal just to make sure that wasn't causing an issue.

I was able to login to the forum in the new location.

Have all issues been fixed or do you still require assistance?
