Current SMF version: ??

How do I fix that the forum has to show the current version? I know it's not an issue now. But at some point there will be a next version and I won't know about it.

Fix the out going connection to smf's servers... the usual reason for that (as long as our servers are working correctly) is that your out going connection and/or the response is rejected

Running the Scheduled Task "Fetch Simple Machines Files" should address that, IIRC.
