Why Don't I See Register / Login Options

I just got my forum installed.  I added a single account, Admin.  I was able to go through the screens of options, make choices and save the options chosen.  I can point my browser to the forum (on localhost) and get the main page, but that page doesn't seem to have and options to Register or Login.  I thought that was maybe because I was signed in automatically as Admin, but there is no obtion to Logout either.

I don't know if I'm missing it or is there is something I need to do as administrator to make those options appear.  I didn't find anything in the manual, but I might have missed it.

Can anyone suggest what I should look at?

If you are logged in the 'Log in' and 'Sign up' (register) buttons are not displayed.  You can log out in the user dropdown menu (upper left).  The 'Sign up' button is not displayed if registration is disabled.  You'll remain logged in until you log out or clear your browser.

Thank you!

I'm logged in as admin and have admin rights but I don't know where to look to see if I managed to disable registration.

Can you suggest which tabs I should look in?  I found a Registration tab that lets me, as Admin, add members; however I haven't found a place that would cause Register and Login options to be displayed on the opening page.

FOUND IT!  FIXED IT!

Check this:
Admin > Configuration > Features and Options > Basic Settings
Make sure "Allow registration of new members" is checked.

Also check:
Admin > Members > Registration > Settings
That's where other registration options are managed.
