Joomla members aren't showing in SMF member count

Hey

my website is www.whatsopen.com.au [nofollow]

and the forums are at www.whatsopen.com.au/forums/ [nofollow]

my 500 or so members aren't showing in the member count in the forums.  I know this number gets increased when people log in etc, but i tried porting the users over from the backend where i pressed

import Mambo users into SMF

surely enough the SQL database has everyone now, but that number count is still at 31 or whatever.  Any ideas?  I've tried looking at all the sql databases but i couldn't find where exactly is this number count lolz nor could i find anything in the source code, or maybe i'm not looking hard enough

try clicking (in SMF admin) recount forum totals and statistics
