Dynamic Engine is a powerful, modular portal package that allows individuals, organizations, and companies to create dynamic, content-driven websites.
Even if you have no experience you'll find that Dynamic Engine is very easy to manage through its simple interface, and if you are an experienced Web Developer or Web Master you will be amazed at all the advanced features it has.

More information: Here [nofollow]

If enough people show interest in an SMF module one will be integrated/ offered with the download.

Before anyone complains about a "Paid Portal", please consider that a lot of time and effort is being put into this, and that compared to what is on the market right now, this is a very powerful solution.

Thank you for reading,
NexSys Technologies.

Excuse my ignorance, but does this mean it comes complete with forums, as default, or it adapts your forums to do the following features. Tho the features are quite interesting most as per default are supported by SMF so i just fail to see where this fits into the roadmap or feature list unless it is "adaptation" of what the forums will be able to do after your frontend is put on

Remember that you won't be able to distribute SMF with your package.

However If enough interest is shown for an SMF module, either modifications(if we cannot include it in our package) to integrate it, or a premade module with extra features(more features than SMF has by it self) will be included.

I understand that. However, i dont understand what you mean by the Next version mean, do you mean SMF's next version? if so, i know it has *some* ajax, but not what i would like included(or at least to my knowledge) such as Inline Editing, and Live Search(something no board to date has), Etc...

holy, moly bejebus!

Why would anyone pay that much money for a portal when there are open source/GPL portals like Mambo, Joomla, E107, OCPortal or any of at least 50 others out there????

because portals like mambo, joomla, phpnuke and the rest do not have all the features that we have in ours ;)

The main idea of making Dynamic Engine came because i was looking for a portal system that had all the features i wanted(the ones on the list) and no portal came even remotely to it, so i decided to make my own.

EDIT: another thing is, we will offer pre-sale packages with 20-30% off the regular value, and oportunities to test beta/rc code to those who buy the presale packages.

Well,  Congratulations to you for your design and good luck. (no sarcasm intended at all)

However, I will still be encouraging people to utilize the Open Source software out there. I am a huge proponent of Open Source... I would honestly rather have had your energy, drive and effort be put into improving an open source product (like Joomla). :)

Believe me...  if I had the money, SMF would be the first to receive it from me...  (since I don't, I attempt to donate my time and effort to helping the SMF community)

Thank you, and believe me, i am a fan of open source myself, i love Linux, SMF, and phpBB among other opensource projects. However, since people just don't code because they want to ( at least not always ) you have to find ways to pay people that work for you, i also believe that a product that a lot of time and effort, and is so much more advanced feature wise than anything out there, it has the ability to compete as a commercial product.

Later down the line, a "Lite" version of Dynamic Engine might appear, only if we are successful as a commercial one, for Dynamic engine was not the original plan of NexSys technologies, an O.S. based on Linux called Olympus Desktop was, but once again, lacking coders nothing can be accomplished. As of right now only 3 Dev's exist, and we are still looking for more, My current Dev's will interview anyone interested if they meet some of the requirements listed here [nofollow]
Because i plan on incorporating of forming an LLC with NexSys Technologies it will be a real job, and you will receive payments, however read that post for more details.

Back on Topic, like i stated above, a "lite" free version of Dynamic Engine might appear, but it would not include ALL of the features the commercial version will have.

Oh, btw, an HTML demo is on the way....it will not have any effect on the db or anything like that, but it will be good to get the feel of how the ACP is going to be.

While I personally welcome any effort put into CMS market, I can't help by looking at the features, that much of this will be doubling up with SMF onboard...but since its of course not directly tied to SMF as such, that will be unavoidable.

The AJAX features..is that by any chance utilizing Backbase..?

ChaosBringer

Actually, we were going to build our own ajax engine. However, i will look at backbase it looks very well developed.

As for some of the features, they are not ment to double up on SMF, but as stated before the default forum module would be phpBB, therefore, most of the features are to make up for lack of features. However, some features add onto SMF as well, for example, inline editing, and such.

Hm. Without what source code used to get that..its kind of hard to determine anything.

But the 0.2115 seconds I get..its rather large isn't it? For a very loose comparison: my site loads SMF + TP(a portal mod) in 0.097 seconds - with 19 database queries. I assume this system is "heavier" than that..but if just the basics are running, I would assume that was somewhat  demanding on the server...? ( not being a expert on these matters of course)

ChaosBringer

Yep, for now, its "slow". However using firefox, with fasterfox on, i loaded it multiple times in 0.145 - seconds, and that is not using any format in the output like IPB or the portal you say uses. Either way the template engine and cache system are still in development, like i said, very basic stuff right now, however, we expect to be getting times very similar to those as well, if not faster than the ones in your portal.

btw:
Connection to DB Made!!
Loaded in : 0.0249s
