Mark a thread as solved

Users and moderators shoudl be able to mark a thread as solved (e.g. a bug has been fixed or something like that).

The solved thread should have a new icon like this

I agree with bost.... in most boards it would be useless imo.  IT's just the same as locked really.

you are right, it's just useful in support forums. But there is very large amount of YabbSE based forums which just deals with computer, internet support. So this function is a really must have. Of course the admin should be able to disable this function for special subforums like General Chit Chat.

You still can post in a solved topic. solved just means the problem which the threadstarter have is solved. if you want to you still can participate in the thread, talking about different aspects of the problem.

While I personally LOVE the solved feature, it should be kept as a mod/hack.  Not everyone is going to have a need for it.

I do hope that when it's rewritten to work with SMF, that the Mod Author allows it to be enabled on a per forum basis, rather than site wide.

I agree then, I think it should be kep as a mod.  Whether it is a built in mod or not though is for the devs to decide.
