Looking through some of the threads this is a mature community and I do remeber your older board.  As a longtime gamer and computer enthusiast I am not coder but I can usually get by with a little reading.  I recently migrated from nt to linux with php4/apache & ispconfig.  Here are my questions / suggestions regarding the site.

There are two versions and I don't have a clue what the differences are between 1.07 & 1.1rc2.  Maybe I didn't search hard enough but that is my point.

Which is the current version?

I have noticed there are more mods available for 1.1rc2 which is kind of a bummer because I installed 1.07 yesterday and I want some of the mods that are only for 1.1rc2.

It would be very nice if I could sort mods based on version support.

Where are the unistallation instructions so I can uninstall 1.07 and install 1.1rc2?

How do I delete the database so I can use the default database name when I reinstall 1.1rc2?

A faq on how to add mysql users or a link to a good one would come in handy because I am using my root mysql password when I installed mysql.  There is probably an easy way to add a user/psswd and I know this is not a mysql site but it would be nice for a quick easy solution without additional internet searching since a database is required for this board to work.

On a side note this board installed very easily.  Very easy to use adminstrative functions too.

Yes, I agree.  This would be an excellent feature.  A listing of mods under each SMF version would be most excellent.

It sounds like you are using the mysql command line.  I would suggest getting phpMyAdmin installed (might be already, many Linux bundles already come with it)  If  not, get it here [nofollow] - http://www.phpmyadmin.net/home_page/index.php [nofollow].  It's much nicer than mysql command lining!  Especially for the next info...

The phpMyAdmin program allows you to do all the mysql management functions you need in an easy, intuitive manner.  See the link I supplied above if you don't have it.  It's a must have for admins!
