It wasn't wrong at the time.  When RC2 was released we had intended it to be the final release.  Due to some issues that occurred we had to reevaluate it.

Plans change.  We'd be fools to now allow our plans to be changed when its necessary.

Yea i agree ... but for new users they would receive wrong info from reading that... so atleast something should be mentioned there if not edited.

I see no reason to mention it there at all. It's not like the world's about to end if we release an RC3.
