SMF Top Banner-Remove?

Is it alright to remove the top SMF banner and put it on the bottom? I read the copyright a couple of times, but I wasn't sure. I love SMF and fully support it...However, I would like to replace it with my own banner and put the SMF one on the bottom.

I just didn't want to kill the software, or something.

Yes you can remove it, you can do whatever you want exept you HAVE To leave the SMF copyright.

Like I said - I have no problem with the copyright...I love the software and have recommended it to all my  webmaster "pals". People are just confused when they get to my site.
