Ok, because search keeps telling me the server is overloaded, I'll apologize now if this question has already been answered before - however, I dug through page after page, and couldn't find it.

Other forum software I've used tends to have some form of visual or textual indicator such that when you open a topic you have previously viewed that has new replies, the new replies stand out and you can quickly pick up reading where you left off. It seems that while in the main board listing SMF will show you a "NEW" indicator beside the topic when there is unread content within it, but when you click the link, you have to guess at which reply is the first unread one. On a topic with multiple pages of replies, this can be quite cumbersome.

So, my questions are:

1) Am I retarded and have completely overlooked where SMF is indicating this to me?
2) Could it be the theme I'm using which isn't supplying this functionality (PnPn for 1.1RC2 - Blue2)?
3) If 2 is "Yes" - what function provides the "Is new since last visit" indicator so I can add it in myself?

Thanks very much in advance.

Ok, going to reply to my own topic - I just discovered (doh) that if I click on the "new" button beside the topic link that it takes me to the first new post. So, this is nice, and is a start, but I'd still like to see an indicator within the topic itself of what posts are new and which aren't. Any help on that one?
