Is there any easy ways to make changes to existing themes?

I don't even know which file (or is it files) I should be looking at changing.  This is all very different for me and I would appreciate ANY help.

The default style is well liked by our board but I'd like to change the coloring from blue, have posts appear against white backgrounds, and also eventually I want to work on tweaking it for one of our members who is visually impaired (so she and anyone else having visual problems can choose that particular theme) - so as it was suggested -I could just change some font sizes...but I'm not sure exactly where (which files) I need to go into to make these changes.

I hope you don't mind my dumb questions - but I just didn't anticipate SMF being so different from YabbSE (which is not a bad thing).

Thanks for any help.

i'm not an expert but this might help.

If it's all about the colour you should look in the admin section at 'Theme and Layout Settings' and there you can copy the default and then make changes quit easily but simple with the "Current then settings" option. No risks cause the default always there

You can make as many copies as you want, all with different colours, give 'em names that can be easily recognised and so they can be choosed by the user ( don't forget to activate that function for members) in the forum settings oprion in the admin section to.

Font sizes can be fixed in the css file of the corresponding theme (shows up only for the copies of the default) .

Also check other messages on this (graphics/template) board.
Have fun and good luck,

To install something for the cat's 'cut' is never nice..... (old dutch saying) :D

Themes/yourthemename/style.css is your friend.

Thanks guys - I was able to make a couple "modified themes" based on the default.   This is more fun each and every day.  (and that's not sarcasm)

If anyone has a chance - can you help tackle my latest question on this board?
