Mambo 4.0.6, SMF 1.1RC3 bridging - not working in wrapped mode!

I guess the title says it all!

I've just done a clean install of mambo and smf - both of which work perfectly serperately.

site - hxxp:www.beerandanvils.co.uk [nonactive]
smf  - hxxp:www.beerandanvils.co.uk/smf [nonactive]

the forum is accessed using the bridging component in mambo (link: hxxp:www.beerandanvils.co.uk/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=40 [nonactive])

When language sync and wrapping are off, the forum comes up as a seperate page but will not log people in automatically (registered in mambo, and added to smf using the bridging component and able to log in directly to smf)....

however when wrapping is on I get the following error:


Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /data/members/paid/b/e/beerandanvils.co.uk/htdocs/www/components/com_smf/smf.php on line 294


Does anyone have anyideas on what I can do to get this thing working?!
