2 languages at the same time / 2 urls: Possible?

Hi SMF Team,

i would like to use SMF in 2 languages: german and english at the same time. That shall be nor prob, because i already installed both language versions and they are working fine - thanks for that first

No i would like to ask for the language directly at the registration, but there is only asked for name, email, password. How can i best add that?

And, now its getting tricky... I want to use to different URLs, like the ".com" adress for the english version and the ".de" adress for the german version. The problem: In the settings, there is only ONE language defined. I solved that by making an IF() in /sources/LOAD.php to check for domainname and then load the right language. Even that works fine. But! all the links in the board (and i guess, also the cookie) refer to --<a href="', $scripturl, '">--, which in the Settings is the ".de" site. 

I would like to use the same forum and database, but on 2 different domains - and in 2 different languages. How do I best solve the $scripturl/link problem, that one links on the .de, the other on the .com site? The data on both is the same, its just to check for the language!

I'm not sure how easy it would be to make it switch to a different language when you access it at .de instead of .com...

Hi folks, actually, i got it working!

You can now go to www.computerhilfen.com and see the new, english version, running a english language theme, having a different logo and menu, while at www.computerhilfen.de you have the german board language with the german menu etc.

I hope, you don't find any bugs anymore, i was so happy to have it running in 2 languages...
