Replacing Standard SMF New Post/No New Post Icons

Hello,
    I'm wanting to replace the standard SMF New Post/No New Post icons.  Prior to using SMF I used YaBB SE and was able to do this but when I switched to SMF the old replacement coding didn't do the trick.  I believe there are some other SMF hosted forums (such as http://www.fiddleforum.com/smftest2/) who have replaced those icons.  Can anyone help me to do this or tell me how I can do it?  The graphics I want to use are as the New Post icon and for the No New Post icon.

Those need to be Themes/yourtheme/images/on.gif and off.gif.
