Beleive me, I think I've read all post on this topic on this forum, but none helped so far...
I'm using Joomla 1.0.7 + SMF 1.1.RC2

When i'm using the theme Oxygen, the width is ok, normal.
But if I switch to "default" it's really strange ie. it "shrinks", reducing also the width of the whole site around!

You will notice big margins on left and right when you go to "forum". Choose again "home" the width changes!

Someone could help me please?

Thank you...

Go to your Joomla template CSS.  Copy all of it.

Go to your SMF CSS.  Paste in the Joomla CSS.

Now, find entries that are duplicated (e.g., table, td, div, etc.), and delete the ones that you do not want.

Thankyou.

But... does CSS have something to do with the width of my theme??

Later:
Yes, of course....  :-\
In the "body" (default css), I found, and deleted:
padding: 12px 30px 4px 30px;
and my problem is solved...

Thank you :)
