moderator listed multiple times

SMF Version: SMF 1.1.1
when i make someone a local mod there are listed in that board multiple times.  how do i edit this

it is doing it with multiple themes

Weird, the database wouldn't let the same user be stored in the same board two times. Check the Themes/theme_name/BoardIndex.template.php to see if perhaps the same code is there more than once. The code would look similar to this:

i dont know....i have got a fresh BoardIndex.template.php and all and it is still doing it.  i toke that code out and put it back and yea it still does it.
