upgrade from 1.1.5 to 1.1.6

I used the packages manager and installed the 1.1.6 upgrade.
All 20 files suceeded, after i chose for install, install also suceeded.
But nothing happens ! When i look at my frontpage of the forum it's still 1.1.5 !
I had the same problem with 1.1.4 to 1.1.5, can somebody pls help me out?

Are you on a Windows server? I had this problem as well on an IIS 6 server. I loosened up all the directory permissions per recommendations, but it still would not work.

Finally just upgraded manually:

Downloaded the zip file, copied everything over to my folder (after backing up of course) then ran upgrade. php. That worked for me.

This query:
ALTER TABLE smf_smileys
ORDER BY LENGTH(code) DESC;
Caused the error:
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'LENGTH(code) DESC' at line 2
