Hello guys (and espacially Orstio+Kindred), i have a question which could be interessting for all those SEO/SEF guys like me:
Is it possible to have dynamic Page-titles and changing meta descriptions for every Topic in a bridged enviroment?
The reason is, that every indexed Forum-Topic by search-engines only uses the Standart Meta-Description and page title from Joomla. This looks very ugly and won't tell the person anything,who sitting before his search-results.
I mean for the Joomla-part, Dynamic page titles are working good, so i think there must be chance that this would working in a bridged enviroment too.

EDIT:Got now dynamic page titles with THAT tip.

Thank you, regards Christian

I've made some testing and i found out the the Joomla Meta Descriptions and Keywords simply Override the "possible"  Meta-parts for the Forum.... are there a way to change this? no matter how much code to change for it....

Orstio, is there a way to disable the standart Joomla meta-keywords and descriptions only for the bridge component, so that we could use our own meta's for the Forum?
Please, simply answer this question.

You're not the first to ask.

It is most likely possible, but I'm not sure the method of doing it would be worthwhile.

I'll see what I can do, but, no promises on any results.

For all who is interested about this the main ideea is simple.

Joomla it suporting changeing meta tags in a simple way:
$mainframe->addMetaTag('description',create_description());
$mainframe->addMetaTag('keywords',create_keywords());

create_description and create_keywords are seo4smf functions but can be changed with what text you want:)
