Ability to search for attachments

Does anyone know of a way to to be able to search for attachments? 

What i mean by that is,  i have a lot of attached documents in different threads. If someone goes to search the forum for an attached document without knowing the exact location of the thread, or the thread name.  Is there a way to add the attachment file names to the search index?

I know if i just put the name of the attached document in the topic it will bring it up, but there are HUNDREDS of attachments and i would rather not have to do that for every one.
