Upgrade help: How do I upgrade, I have 2 mods installed and edited some files.

Hello, please I want to upgrade but what really bothers me is how easy it's going to be since I have a few changes made. I Have 2 Mods installed and also made some edits to the index.template.php and display.template.php files.

I use the classic theme and have the Ad MOD and the Gallery Mod installed. I was unable to do the proper edit to the scripts that would have made both Mods function on the classic theme, so I manually placed the Google Adsense codes in the index.template.php file. And for the gallery mod, I mistakenly uploaded it twice and then deleted both files from my hosting control panel file manager (I wanted to delete and then re-install just one gallery - 2 gallery buttons show up when I use the babylon theme (the default 1.0.9 theme). I didn't install another gallery, but the link still show in the admin cp.

I just want to know what things I will need to do before I can upgrade. Thank you.

you will need to reinstall your mods and redo your custom edits after upgrading.

Quite easy

Download the upgrade package, extract the files on your local PC, then upload, all the files to your forum and overwrite the old files (it will replase all files to fresh ones) then point your browser to upgrade.php and it will upgrade.
The mods you installed will be lost no matter what way you try to upgrade your forum.
So after the upgrade, install them back again to the forum with updated mods if they ARE updated.
