Eliminate Kicking Back To Board Root After New Post

I thought I seen some posts about this before but cant find them now. When a user posts a new topic or reply it kicks them back to the root of the child board they are in.

I would like them to be redirected back to the thread to which they just replied.

Is there a simple change or mod to accomplish this?

True, however the admin can set the default behavior of this and even reset the setting for all members if they wish.
