I have surfed the web and found conflicting reviews about tiny portal and simple portal. i appreciate the fact that tiny portal is made by a designer of smf but am scared.

I am not so tech and want a portal that wont stress my mods either now or in future. editing stuff is so much of a headache for me. i am on smf 1.1.10

Can u advise me sincerely pls? thnx

I strongly advise on Simple Portal. One because of its simplicity, and two because it supports both SMF versions well.

Check out http://simpleportal.net/

Also, just FYI: Most of the SP team are SMF team too.
Good "SMF" Portals
Tiny Portal [SMF 1.1.x only]
Simple Portal [SMF 1.1.x and 2.0]

Good "SMF" Theme Sites
SMF Themes [SMF 1.1.x and 2.0]
Dziner Studio [SMF 1.1.x and 2.0]

Both Tiny Portal, Simple Portal, EzPortal, and PortaMx are decent portals for SMF.  For me, I use Simple Portal because it is quite powerful and simple at the same time.  It is very well supported as well.
