Moving request

Who do we need to PM/Contact is there is a message in one forum that needs to be moved to another one? Seeing a number of SMF team profiles with "PMs for support will be ignored" sort of makes it hard to ask.

If the topic that needs moving is your topic then most team members won't mind if you PM them. Alternatively could also post in Site Comments.

I tried to send a PM to the moderator of the Bug Reports (Thantos) this morning, but haven't heard anything back on it. The forum message/thread is listed below:

The message/thread needs to be moved from 'Install and Upgrade Help' (as the upgrade of the files/database worked to v1.1.3) to 'Bug Reports' as its concerning the DROP permission still needed for the Search module even after an upgrade has already been completed.

i'd have to say this isn't a bug, thus it doesn't belong in bug reports.  It isn't truly a bug, it is an intended thing.

A bug is generally a glitch in the software that causes undesirable operation
This is an intended coding that causes undesirable operation

obviously it needs to be able to drop its temporary tables, or it won't work.  I have moved it instead to SMF coding discussion for assistance in modifying it to use flatfile for its temporary data.

I don't know if this has another solution other than allowing the drop, however.
