Post Before Viewing Photo Gallery

Hi, I have a Coppermine Photo Gallery bridged with my SMF forum.

Like the SMF Arcade, how can I adjust the code so when a member clicks on the link to the gallery (www.mysite.com/gallery) it first goes through a check (code) in SMF to see whether that person has made a post(s) in the past 24 hours and if so allows them to view the gallery, otherwise an error message is displayed?
