when i click "announce" it emails the users....it bothers them...can i change it to spam their PM box instead with "new announcement HERE" (here being a link )...please?

Why not just use the "News and Newsletter" Feature in the Admin panel? You can use that, just click the tab that says "Newsletter" after your follow the above link(News and Newsletters). After that, tick "Send this to these groups using personal messages." Basically lets you send a Mass PM. Just fill in the Subject with the Announcement Thread Title Or W/E and then post the link in the message area. SEND!

It would be nice to add the option to the "Announce" link in threads though. Like, maybe after you click it have it ask if you want it announced VIA E-mail or PM. This would make a nice mod. The above is a solution for now though.

because some of these things (say feedback) need polls, and i want users after the fact to be able to view these things too.

i do utilize the newsletter system, but there are some things that cannot be done. and i dont want to have to send a newsletter out every time i post a new topic...

Well usually when you submit an annoucement it takes you to the page to select which groups you wish to announce to.

There, there are also 2 options on the delivery of the announcement and whether you want to email or PM them, try that..

nope...this is what i get in admin lounge, and everywhere.

This form allows you to send an announcement to the selected membergroups about this topic.
Send an announcement about this topic to the members: test
