Admin Server Settings Core Configuration Forum URL SMF Directory Sources Directory

currently

i am using

http://XX.X.XXX.XX/~lookangc/forum
/home/lookangc/public_html/forum
/home/lookangc/public_html/forum/Sources

any idea if i want to use
http://sgeducation.co.nr
what is the setting for
SMF Directory
Sources Directory

the reason is i want the url to be like this http://sgeducation.co.nr/index.php instead of the http://XX.X.XXX.XX/~lookangc/forum

You will need to make sure your domain is pointing to the right IP address.

http://XX.X.XXX.XX/~lookangc/
/home/lookangc/public_html/
/home/lookangc/public_html/Sources

Just dump the contents of forum(including its subdirectories) into your public root.

If your moving an existing forum dont forget to run repair_settings.php which you can get from the downloads section.

the folder "forum" should not be a problem if i redirect correctly right?

thanks!!!

Your .co.nr host will need to setup DNS to point your domain to http://XX.X.XXX.XX

The shared host that you are using for webspace will then map any DNS requests to your account.

Therefore if you want your forum to be in http://sgeducation.co.nr then you will need to do as I suggest above - otherwise your forum will be located in http://sgeducation.co.nr/forum
