I've had my forum up and running for a few weeks now and had 10 people register so I didn't think anything about the registration process.
However, after talking to my brother today, he tells me he can't register.. so I decided to try registering his name myself from the forum entrance with no luck.

I then tried a anon username with an alternative e-mail address (which is valid) but the 'Register' button is grayed out.  All fields are filled in, the 'I agree' box is checked but still can't click on the 'Register' button.

I have added ban triggers (noted spammers from another forum that I moderate) but there have been other people up to now that have registered.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

As a postscript, I checked out the 'Browse Ban Triggers' and found that there were no hits to any IP address.

I see that, however, I logged out, tried re-registering again and the 'Register' button is still grayed out.  Tried it 3 times now..

??

Is it possible that one of my ban triggers won't allow me to register another account?

EDIT:  That doesn't work either. I changed all ban triggers to reflect a Partial Ban and checked off 'Partial Ban' - Cannot Post, however that does allow members to register and  login.

I've deleted your account and phoned my brother to see if he could log in with the Partial Bans still in effect.

He tells me that it's still grayed out for him. I tried as well with the same results.

Any suggestions at this point (aside from manually entering his details)?

Worked just fine for me.

Have him clear his cache and cookies and try again.

What browser/OS is he using?

I'm using the latest MIE and XP Pro

EDIT:  I cleared the cache and cookies and that seems to have done the trick.  The 'Register' button is exposed once again.

Thanks for the help.

No problem.  I will mark this as solved.
