mambo e smf: user import?

Good day to every1 and good year 
I am making a Mambo-site (hxxp:www.uih.it [nonactive]) and i want to install smf as site forum.
Im asking myself IF there can be a way to let all the registered users of the site to be users registered in the forum (to avoid them to do twice a reg procedure, that can be boring sometimes).
Maybe i asked a silly question...if so, im sorry , forgive me

im now reading the beginning of what seems a bit "complicated"....but i will try following step to step the instructions...(before i am making a backup of my site folders and files..LOL)
