1.1.4 - 1.1.5 failure

i cant seem to be able to patch it even though it says

The package was installed successfully. You should now be able to use whatever functionality it adds or changes; or not be able to use functionality it removes.

but it never says at the bottom smf 1.1.5

and it is never listed in the installed packages

i went to my ftp and i unzipped file with the mods but it still didn't work
please help!

You could try manually upgrading if the package manager does not work for you as expected.

Just upload via FTP the small update package from the download area.

seems like i can update everything but..
a database table called smilies

please tell me why i have the following error

This query:

    ALTER TABLE smf_smileys
    ORDER BY LENGTH(code) DESC;

Caused the error:

    You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'LENGTH(code) DESC' at line 2
