Quick edit truncates long titles when they are written in cyrillic

OK, guys. When I try to quick edit a message with long title (>40 symbols) written i cyrillic, upon save everything is ok. But when I try to re-quickedit the message again using quickedit, the title is brocken e.g

Искам да се разменя с някой от медицински факултет

becomes:

Искам да се разменя с някой от медицински ф&#

or

Re: Искам да се разменя с някой от медицински факултет

becomes

Re: Искам да се разменя с някой от медицински m

Normal edit function works fine

I was able to reproduce the bug on every SMF forum - even on this one

I believe this is in any language. It is just subject length restrictions.

Seems only when pulling up the information is the problem.. Ok I see that this is a bug.

Yes. After some working I was able to reproduce this. It is in our bug tracker and for our teams reference it is bug 1159

I'm sorry for bumping this old topic, but I noticed that the bug still exists in 1.1.5. Quick edit truncates the subject when the latter is not in english. It happnes both with 1251 and UTF coding...

it looks like its been fixed for 2.x, but not for 1.x

and it's seems it's fixed in beta 4 since i cannot reproduce it on this forum, but can on 1.1.5 and beta 3.1 public
