Unable to access the search daemon on this website

Im trying to search for:

Code Select Expand

Write error (writeLine); aborted

but it comes up with a error saying:

"Unable to access the search daemon"

Ive tryed the same search with my smf site and it doesn't come up with an error

Try removing the semicolon (;), that is what is preventing your search.

Oh right, a security thing yea?

Funny though it doesn't do it on my  forum. Is it a new feature on version 2.0 do you know?

It's just a restriction on this forum, like you said, for security issues.

I think it's actually a bug in sphinx.  We definitely don't intentionally restrict it
