Hey all,

Whenever I attempt to announce a topic, I time out with the error after maybe 2-3 minutes: The specified CGI application exceeded the allowed time for processing. The server has deleted the process.

I'm only sending to 35 users. I'm assuming this is a host issue and not an SMF issue? Anything in particular I can yell at my host about?

Thanks all!

Fiery

Thats the only thing that times outs?

What mods do you have, have you edited any code?

You could just ask your host why it times out.

DASBEAN

Yes, everything else appears to be running quite fine.

The host (IXWebHosting) came back and said they don't see anything wrong. They gave me access to my php-cgi-fcgi.php in which I changed the max_execution_time = ; Maximum execution time of each script, in seconds - from 60 to 180 ... even though it takes a good 3-4 minutes for the error to appear.

Any additional information that would help?
