Image verification wont show up

Version : SMF 1.1.4

It wont show at all, not even in the admin>registration>setting section. I dont recall making any changes to my forum since a long time. Anyone knows why and how can i get it fixed?

I strongly recommend upgrading to SMF 1.1.5 as serious bugs were addressed.
