I've been having some difficulty editing my Info Center at the footer of my forum. I've edited my language strings in Themes/default/languages/index.english.php, which is where I'm *pretty sure* my strings are generated from, but no change has been made. I've cleared my cache as well, still no change.

Is there another place these strings are generated? I've looked in the language files of the three base themes SMF installs with and found nothing. Thanks in advance.

What is forum version? Which string have you tried to change?

I'm running 1.1.5, and I'm trying to change $txt[685] = 'Board Information'; as well as a few other random things.

Are you using a custom theme? If yes, does it contain a languages folder and an index.english.php file inside?

I am using a custom theme, and it does have a language folder which has a settings.english.php, but not an index. Should I drag it on in there?

I added the index.english.php to the custom theme folder and there is still no change.

Not, if it had, you should have made the change in that file. But, ummm, are you sure that you are making the change in the correct language file? I mean, are you using the regular English as the default language?
