Newsletter being received by one member multiple times - like every 1.5 hours

Hope someone can help.

I've sent a "newsletter" out every week to my forum list for goodness knows how long, and this is the first time this has ever happened.

One of my addressees receives a copy of the email every 1.5 hours.  No one else has reported this.  I have two "test" addresses that return back to me, and mine are fine.  The newsletter keeps being delivered to her email.  She's received 5 copies so far today.

Any thoughts on what's causing this?  Virus in her computer?

It goes to her email because its suppose to? or are you doing it by PM? I'm not sure if I see the problem you are having exactly.

I also do not see the problem .  I don't use PMs when sending the newsletters...just email addresses.  She recieved it when I sent it this morning.  Then again in late morning.  Then again in early afternoon.  Then again in mid-afternoon.  Then again in early evening.  I wasn't even on the computer and it wasn't connected to the Internet.  She just kept receiving an email about every 90 minutes of the same message I put out this morning...all by itself.

I don't think I can be any more descriptive than that.

Ah, I understand the problem now. Does she happen to have multiple accounts on your forum, although it should be catching the same multiple email addresses. How many members does your forum have and what does your host do to limit the email sent? There might be a problem on that end.

She only has one account - the forum has about 60 addresses, and this is the only one for her.  Don't know if her computer hasn't "fed back" that the message was received or what.

Are any other users using gmail and experiencing this problem? Is there anything in your error logs as well?

what does your host do to limit the email sent? There might be a problem on that end.

How large is your forum?  Does your host limit the emails sent out?  Are you using the default PHP for email or SMTP?
