Have you recently installed any mod packages? If so try uninstalling them and see if that fixes your error.

If not, and I haven't tried this, just seen the setting in the admin cpanel, how about you try going to Admin -> Forum Maintenance -> Find and repair any errors

Please note that I am not experienced in this area so I'm simply offering what I would try myself. Other than that, perhaps a more experienced SMF helper will come along with additional help, in fact that'll probably happen.

You should repair that table at the phpmyadmin in the CP of your host

You need to have MySQL repair the table. This is usually done via phpMyAdmin, which most hosts offer. Simply go into it and use the repair option on that table.
