Default theme... navigation button text coloring

I am running 1.1.8 with a modded default theme. At one time my nav. bar would reflect what area of the forum a user was on by the tab showing as a selection. However somewhere down the road that has stopped working for most of the tabs. I was wondering if I could possibly change the text color on the current selected tab via css? I have been looking around in my style sheet and have tried changing things here and there but I can only get either the hover or the complete nav. bar to change and not just the selected tab. Is there a way to do this?

Link to site is in my sig.

Thanks in advance.

Hmmm... there is nothing that I can see wrong with the coding. Is it just you that is having the problem or does it also happen with all your members?

Members report the same thing. However I'm not sure if it's all members or not as most aren't online or even take the time to answer questions when I ask. I have tried multiple computers/browsers and it's the same in every combination I have tried. The nav. bar tabs stick on "Home" pretty much all the time.

Still trying to figure this out if anyone has any suggestions.

OK, I figured out an easy way to accomplish what I want to do but my issue of the tabs not changing to reflect current location still stands. Does anyone have any idea as to why this would happen? It only works on certain tabs while most of the time it just stays stuck at HOME.

You've got a line lost in the template_menu() function. Attached file should solve the issue.
