Seeing as Orstio removed it from his post, and mamboforge is still down, I've put it on my site temporarily. Have fun ;-)

Christian ;-)

EDIT: Updated to v2.2!

Ehhhhh...

Version 2.2stable is the latest.

Why did you reference the FAQ?   v2.2stable *IS* the latets version of the bridge...
We should not be passing out v2.11 any more.

The reason I took down the attachment for v2.11 is because i released v2.2.  Please do not distribute obsolete versions.  I went through this already with MamboPortal.com.

Christian A. Herrnboeck

Noted :D I'm going to update the version on me server to 2.2.

Orstio: BTW... I think you've got your numbering mixed up 2.2 is less than 2.11. You might want to use 2.1.1 and 2.2.0... to avoide the confusion ;-)

no, 2.2 is not less than 2.11....

Standard decimal rules apply...

2.2 is (inferred to be) 2.20

In standard revision notation, the integer is the major revision number,
the tenth place is the minor revision number
and the hundredth (and lower) are detail revisions

Actually, many software packages use it (even Firefox, as another example), but I'll agree it's very strange.

Hi All,

It is unlcear to me how the ob version of the bridge relates to upgrades.  If I have the ob version (the last one Ortisio posted) - can I just upgrade this with an FTP overwrite of the files?

Thanks,
slack

chadness

It should work, but 2.2 does not use the ob method [Unknown] was using, just so you know.

Slack

Well that's while I ask.  Are there any implications, because unknowns ob version also has a SMF package that modiifes source files, of combining the two?   Put another way -  do I need to remove the SMF package to run the 2.2 bridge?

No.  The package will notice that Mambo (as far as it can tell) is no longer there/integrated... and simply work normally.

I have noticed that , if I want features from within SMF (member map, flashchat, etc), I have to be using the ob version of the bridge. Updating to the 2.2 bridge (smf.php file) removed the ability of those features to function. :(

You can fix that by copying your $actionArray from SMF's index.php into smf.php.
