Personal Message...cannot type in the person's name...

i can;t type in any names in the PM field...it keeps changing it back to my own on my forum (http://www.cricketvoice.com/cricketforum2) in fact other forum users have said that when they start typing in someone's name in the PM field, it automatically changes it to my username (dextrous)
The only way it works is if i hit search and look for a username.

what could be wrong?!

im running SMF 1.1.6 with simpleportal.net. uninstalling it does not solve the problem either.

My forum has developed the same problem.

When typing in a name to address a new Personal Message, it always turns yellow and switches to another user's name (always the same user).

The only way to stop it is to search for a name and click on it to fill the Personal Message address box in.

What could be causing this strange problem?

Usual first question:

Do you have any mods installed?

If not, it might be worth trying uploading "PersonalMessage.php" from the SMF install package to your "Sources" directory.

Sorry about the delay, but looking at your forum I see you are on 2.x now.  So this issue is no longer valid?  I'll close this thread, as I'm aware of other thread you have outstanding relating to that forum now.
