SMF is unable to connect

Hi
i´ve got a problem. i just implement a second forum on my server and build a second db. now after install it i can´t connect to my old forum.
it says:
Connection Problems
Sorry, SMF was unable to connect to the database. This may be caused by the server being busy. Please try again later.

what´s wrog there??

SMF can't reach your MYSQL database

Check settings.php and make sure all your database info is valid. Definitely not a bug in SMF. Ask in support next time.

just checked all db-infos. everything is valid.

Moved to support. Are you sure the MySQL server is running? You may need to contact your host.
