Changing font color in Pages Index

I just integrated my old forum into this software and while I've been able to google up answers to pretty much every question I've needed answered regarding the style sheets and where to change what, I can't, for the life of me, get an answer to how to fix this problem.

As you can see, the default text in the Pages Index is black, which does not show up on my background.  I can't change this because it's linked to the default text color of the entire forum and reading entire threads in the color used for the links will give everyone headaches.  I've tried a few things suggested to other posters here, but I can't get any visual differences to show up.  What do I need to do to switch just that one box to a color that's actually legible?
