Board permissions

I know this have probably been asked, but I cannot find help searching in the previous posts or by searching the web.


I have groups members can join that allows them to post on all boards, BUT if they are not a member of any groups, I want the post based members to be able to post in only a few boards and be able to view all others.

I have tried all sorts of settings. Yes, I have read the manual... I am just unable to set permission to deny posting of post based members in certain forums.

I have no idea how to set specific permissions per board. I have tried using the "edit profiles" but gives no board specific options... and when I do assign a profile to a board, it does not give me the option to edit the name or delete it.

If someone can please explain to me (in layman's terms) how to set specific board permissions per user group.. I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER!

What are you trying to do exactly? Have permissions for post based groups?
Admin > permissions > settings > enable post based
