Well we have 4.5.2.1 and 1.0.2 and .3 of the bridge
I think that is the latest of everything and all seems to be working on my test server with one problem
the SEF will not work with the forum
I get

www.cyprex.bizhttp can not be found

what did I do wrong, it used to work?

BTW fantastic job making the SMF theme login logout and register links work through the bridge. Saves a lot of time editing themes

I am also having this problem.  I have SEF turned on for both mambo and smf, i have tired it with only SEF for smf and only SEF for mambo and nothing works correctly.  You can see what happens here:
hxxp:www.hybridtown.com/test [nonactive]

I can get to the forum, but can not go into any posts.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well... you r problem can be traced back to the fcat that getting out of the main forum screen calls for a wrong URL...
http://www.hybridtown.comhttp://www.hybridtown.com/test/test/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,26/board,1.0/

(see, it double sends the domain info...)

TJay, I suspect, from the ttext of the "link" you posted, that you are having the same problem.

I had this problem in early test versions, but Orstio settled it out before this release....

I know that is is calling the wrong forum screen; however, i have not changed anything from the original files.  I do not know if anyone else is having this problem or not.   If so, does anyone know how to fix it?  I have changed the url's the what would be the correct one and it does not work for all of them.  some of them it will send me to microsofts website for some reason..

Orstio

If you check the value of $mosConfig_live_site, is it www.site.com, or is it http://www.site.com ?

The first one can be a little confusing for the SEF engine.

miller2348

The value that I have for $mosConfig_live_site  is hxxp:www.hybridtown.com/test [nonactive].  Do you know why else this would be doing this?  I am using Mambo 4.5.2.1, SMF 1.0.2 and bridge 3.01.

Is anyone else having this problem?  I have done it on two seperate computers and both of them have the same problem with the forum not being able to use SEF url's.

I am having this problem.. I'm on 1.0.1 and just installed bridge 3.0.1 - stylesheet died, all options on login form gone, and doubled URL's...  :(

eg http://www.wag-uk.org.ukhttp//www.wag-uk.org.uk/mambo/mambo/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,62/ [nofollow]/

sniffers

forgot to say, it was all working fine with v1.0 of the bridge (all except the actual login/registration bit :o )

I have it working again with SEF turned off, but not ideal.. :(

This tread fixes the double url, but there is still a host of other problems. Now there are all sorts of other problems with links, registration, and more. I have searched the forum for help on this and it seems several others are having similar problems (and it appears to be SEO related)...Is there a chance that anyone's working on a patch that could help us all out?

EDIT: I turned off SEO and now everything works. Maybe a fix will come soon?

Ok I updated to 3.0.1 and I still have the same result.
SEF can not be turned on
I checked the live site and it does have the http:// in place so I am lost
How do I get SEF to work again

tjay

Well even the 3.0.2 bridge does not fix the SEF problem
I am lost here.
I click anything deeper than the generated menu link for my forum and I get
www.cyprex.bizhtml can not be found.
Turn SEF off and all is well.
SEF not working kills Mambo SMF as a solution for me.
Any ideas how to fix this?

I am betting that your mambo installation is NOT in your root directory?

It is indeed in the root directory
the paths are all good. In fact it worked at this site before upgrades

Strange huh?
